Wild Bees Lecture, Heather Holm
Wild bees live among us and contribute greatly to our lives, yet we know so little about them. Heather Holm is determined to change that. During this presentation, she will take us on a detailed exploration of the life cycle, nesting habitat, pollen collection, brood rearing and general characteristics of wild bees found in the Great Lakes region. The pollination of native plants and the mutualism between plants and bees will also be discussed.
Book signing: Heather’s books Pollinators of Native Plants and Bees; An Identification and Native Plant Forage Guide will be available for sale in the TBG Garden Shop prior to the event and she will sign copies after her lecture.
Date: Thursday September 28, 2017. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the lecture will start at 7:30 pm.
